Dia de los Muertos Celebration – November 2 – 6p to 9p
This year’s event will reach back to the pre-hispanic roots of Dia De Los Muertos and will explore the way this celebration started.. We will showcase a 10X30 altar and will be honoring “Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo ” The event will also include art galleries as well as folkloric dances from different parts of America.
We will invite local schools to participate in an altar building contest and you will have the opportunity to see the creation of various altars in the middle of the Plaza. A story teller will be giving information on how this celebration started many years ago. Arts and crafts will also be part of this event. We will have live music and prizes for the best altars.
